Sunline privacy policy
Sunline ("the app") is published by Cloud Phoenix Limited ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12906101), registered office C/O Aardvark Accounting, 1 Cedar Office Park, Cobham Road, Wimborne, BH21 7SB, United Kingdom. You can contact us using the contact form.
In short
- No account, no adverts, no analytics or tracking.
- The app doesn't collect or send us any of your personal data. It has no servers of its own, and all sun and moon calculations happen on your phone.
- To show maps and look up place names, the app talks to a few outside services (listed below). Like any internet request, they see your device's IP address and the request itself.
What stays on your device
- Your location. Used only when you choose Use my current location or tap the locate button on the map, to set the place you're checking. It isn't sent to us.
- The camera. Used only in Sky view's camera mode, to show the live view behind the sun's path. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent anywhere.
- Motion sensors. Used in Sky view to work out where your phone is pointing.
- Your choices: the place you last checked, Sky view settings, and a count of the days you've used the app (so it asks for a review only occasionally). Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
What is sent to other services, and why

Map requests also carry an identifier for the app (its name), never anything that identifies you. We don't control how these services handle requests; see their policies above.
Tips, reviews and feedback
- Tips are optional and paid through Google Play under Google's terms and privacy policy. We never see your card or payment details. Google gives us basic order information (such as an order number, the item, price, date and country), which we keep for our accounts and to handle refunds.
- Reviews are made in Google Play's own review screen and published by Google under your Google account name. The app doesn't see what you write.
- Feedback. If you use our contact form, we receive the email address and message you enter, and use them only to reply and improve the app. See our website privacy notice.
Children
The app isn't directed at children under 13.
Your rights
The app doesn't collect personal data about you. If you've tipped or contacted us, you can ask us for a copy of, or to delete, what we hold (except order records we must keep for tax and accounting). For data an outside service may hold, contact that service. If you have a concern, contact us. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
