I'm Phil. I help teams deliver and support their software: running the Azure infrastructure behind their apps, building and releasing with Azure DevOps, and looking after their databases. I can write the code too, in .NET, C# and Python, and I make apps of my own.

Azure
Designing, building and running services on Microsoft Azure: App Services, Function Apps, Application Gateway, Service Bus, SignalR, Storage Accounts, Virtual Machines and Azure Virtual Desktop, with Entra ID for sign-in and Intune for device management.
DevOps and automation
Builds and releases with Azure DevOps and YAML pipelines, Azure infrastructure as code with Bicep and ARM templates, plus PowerShell and Python to take the repetitive work out of deployments, reporting and operations.
Databases
SQL Server and Azure SQL: schema design, performance, migrations and day-to-day care.
Mobile and desktop apps
Supporting and improving Android, iOS and Windows apps built with Cordova, Capacitor and Electron, plus native .NET MAUI apps.
Development
When the work needs code: APIs, back-end services, fixes and tools in .NET and C#, Python, JavaScript and TypeScript, and T-SQL, with some Java experience too.
Practical AI
Putting AI to work in apps and everyday workflows, from chat, search and document processing to automating tasks with AI agents, on Azure or other platforms. I use AI tools to deliver faster, too.
